This workshop is for teachers to book a creative excursion for their high school class.

As a Youth and Adult Lester Prize award recipient, Lucinda Tassone would like to share an insight into her personal practice and real-world experience as a young artist in this guided workshop.

Focused on creative art making in the world of portraiture, students will brainstorm ways they can represent themselves or others which are unique and personal– then delve straight into a session of portrait making.

Whilst providing personal guidance and feedback, each student is encouraged to utilise a range of technical and abstract techniques to foster individual and original art making.

Working onto A3 cardstock, a range of mixed media materials will be provided so students can work freely. *oils not offered due to time limitations.

Students will also have the opportunity to engage with The Lester Prize Youth Awards Exhibition, allowing them to view and discuss a diverse range of Portraits produced by students from across Australia.
